I am a Geomatics engineer from Kathmandu University working currently at Geoinformatics Center, AIT in the field of monitoring plastic debris in the Indian ocean. I am dedicated to contributing my knowledge in the field of protecting the planet from the problems associated with climate change. I feel most alive around nature, wetlands and forest so I want to mostly dedicate my work to its protection and building resilience. Due to this reason, I conducted forest fire detection and regeneration pattern analysis in Chitwan National Park as my final year thesis. Apart from that, I also have experience in small scale entrepreneurship domain as I was owner of a small chocolate production company which boomed during the covid years and gave me a valuable experience of handling a business of my own. I love going for run and hikes just to breathe fresh air and connect myself to the trees. And during the evenings, I utilize the internet and online resources by listening to podcasts as I walk and learn at the same time. I am excited to be a part of Himalayan climate data field lab and to share what I know and learn from other of my wonderful to-be-friends. Looking forward to the productive engagement with the team.
