Climate finance professional/lecturer with an entrepreneurial spirit committed to creating value for the business, society, and the environment. I have global experience working with private, public, and civil societies in Nepal, Lebanon, China, the USA, India, and the Netherlands. Currently, working as a researcher & focal point for the Green Climate Fund at Nepal Infrastructure Bank, I prepared the first Climate Risk Mitigation & Adaptation Guideline for a Bank in Nepal. I am actively involved as a resource person in workshops of the Readiness & Preparatory Programme of the GCF along with stakeholders from the private and public sectors. Currently, I am researching Climate Justice and how countries in the HKH region can have access to the new Loss & Damage Fund and deploy innovative instruments such as Debt for Adaptation and nature-based swaps. As a resource person, I have initiated various national-level workshops and briefed a session to the Climate Finance Steering Committee of the Nepal government.
I am also an Adjunct lecturer for the BBA/MBA students in Nepal and advocate on integrating sustainable development goals into business school courses. My research articles on climate finance and energy transition have been published in international journals such as Sustainability and Book Chapters by Elsevier and Springer. I have received my Int'l MBA & MSc. Economics from Renmin University, Erasmus University, and IIM Bangalore. I am well-equipped with skillsets in climate economics, public-private partnerships, and sustainable development, and look forward to contributing to the field lab.
