Neha Singh is an early career researcher with a Ph. D from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. Her Ph. D thesis ‘Contestations and Conflicts: Waterscape of Udaipur’ explored the terrains of water transfer to understand the production of scarcity and abundance across the rural and urban spaces. For her doctoral research, she has been a fellow with Foundation for Ecological Society, Anand. With a background in Geography, Sociology and Development Studies, her research interests are interdisciplinary in nature. Neha studies the way people use, govern and value the environment and is invested in understanding how the environment is governed, managed or exploited. Her research interests include water governance, political ecology, urban studies, climate change and adaptation, gender, theoretical issues in environment and development She is particularly interested in understanding the practices, processes and power dynamics at various scales to examine the dimensions of resource access, gender equality & inclusion, and climate justice. She has worked with IWMI, ADRI and FES on various research projects. In her free time, she loves to read, paint, listen to music, and explore new places.
