Tasfia Tasnim is a researcher in the fields of environment, climate change, and development. An urban planner by training, she has worked on several projects on climate change adaptation and development in Bangladesh. Tasfia is currently a doctoral student in Environmental Science at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF). Her work investigates the synergies between adaptation and development of natural resource-dependent communities in wetland ecosystems in Bangladesh. She loves to express her thoughts on adaptation and resilience, climate information, nature-based solutions, and finance via writing and public speaking on various national and international platforms. She is a strong believer and advocate of co-producing and communicating knowledge by engaging with various actors and stakeholders. Tasfia holds a bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology and a master’s degree in Climate Change and Development from the Independent University, Bangladesh.
