Currently, I serve as a Superintendent Engineer (Joint Secretary) within the Government of Nepal. With 15 years of experience in the engineering domain, particularly in civil and geotechnical sectors, I have held roles as a District Engineer and Senior Engineer as well as province secretary of Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development in Suderpachhim and Gandaki Province under the Nepalese government. My expertise extends planning of physical infrastructure projects and disaster management . Key coordinator between central and provincial government for policy, program, and project implementation.
I hold an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Nepal. My academic journey continued with an M.Sc. in Geotechnics and Geohazards from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway.
Presently, I am pursuing my Ph.D. at Ehime University in Japan, under the guidance of Professor Netra Prakesh Bhandari. My research is on “Landslide and multi–Hazards Assessment Focusing the Role of Climate Change Scenario for Risked Informed Planning of Critical Infrastructure in Nepal” using Machine learning. My research focuses on an innovative prediction method for rain and earthquake-induced landslides in the Himalayan region. I aim to enhance the accuracy and reliability of landslide hazard mapping and prediction systems.
I am passionate about disaster risk reduction and management. Climate change and disaster risk reduction are not mere buzzwords; Let us build not only structures but also a legacy of resilience which can transcend boundaries and safeguards generations to come.
